Poor sleep has a huge impact on how you feel. There are studies that show this, but most of the time we feel it all too well ourselves. After a bad night's sleep, you would also eat more. How much more? Researchers have got to the bottom of this.
After a bad night's sleep, we would eat an average of 385 calories more in a day. This is due to two things:
1. After a bad night's sleep, you tend to eat more fat and less protein. Because of that food choice you get more calories.
2. It also seems that too little sleep causes disturbances in the hormones. You make more of the hunger hormone and less of the hormone that lets your body know that you are full.
