When you have to decide what to eat now, you tend to make an unhealthier choice. A good reason to plan your meals better?
According to research from Carnegie Mellon University, you can make healthier choices if you plan your meals well in advance. This works, discovered after an experiment in which people pre-selected their meal to have it delivered a few days later. They made healthier choices than those who ordered a meal for the same evening.
A logical explanation for this would be that when you plant you think more about long-term consequences. When you order food for now, you mainly think about what you feel like.
