It seemed like a hype, one that would probably blow over. But the adult coloring books are still being sold. These are the advantages of colours.
1. Coloring is relaxing
You make choices all day long. Some choices are easy, other choices determine your future. After a day full of choices, it's relaxing just to think about which color to use next.
2. You are creative, without having to make anything yourself
Many people like to be creative, but make something yourself? That has a high threshold. What do you have to make and will it succeed? With colors you don't have to worry about that. You are creative, but you don't have to create anything. Plus point:you're fueling your creativity, before you know it, you're drawing your own coloring page designs.
3. Not everything you do has to contribute to productivity
Maybe it feels useless to color for an hour. It does not contribute to your productivity. That is precisely what makes coloring a relaxing activity. You consciously make time for yourself and you do something that you enjoy. Just like when you were a child and that creates a nostalgic feeling.
