Ten years ago, plastic surgery was removed from the then health insurance fund. It was abused too much. The minister now wants to reconsider the decision, because there are many people who are disadvantaged.
Plastic surgeons must take responsibility
If plastic surgery is again included in the basic package, there is still a risk of abuse of the scheme. There must therefore be a good delineation that indicates what is and is not reimbursed. Plastic surgeons must also take responsibility.
