In one of Marije's blogs you have already read how important it is to read labels. Marije:“I want to talk about it again, because girls from the Netherlands…..Learn this simple trick and your body will change faster than you could ever have dreamed. REALLY!'
How to read labels:
Pick up a randomly packaged product. Preferably your favorite product.
Step 1: Put a big cross through the table. Forget the calories and anything else that's hard to understand and go to the ingredients list.
Step 2: Start the search for sugar(s). Does it contain (cane) sugar, glucose-fructose syrup/syrup, high fructose, corn syrup? Then you know that this product makes you fat.
Step 3: Also check if there are E numbers on it. The more it says, the unhealthier the product is for you. Is the E100 and the E300 (line) on it? That's not a bad thing, because these are natural excipients including vitamin C and turmeric.
Step 4: Go shopping and start the search. Pay attention; we have, for example, our own brand salmon without sugar and the more expensive ones with sugar. This also applies to bread and spreads. Expensive isn't always better. The products are often next to each other on the shelf.
Remember:not reading (or understanding) the ingredients list is the reason why weight loss is slow or not at all. But also the cause of many health complaints such as fatigue, poor concentration and a feeling of down
Know what you eat and you'll never have to diet again!
