Some medicines have a bad taste. Nevertheless, it is better not to take your medicines with a juice to disguise the taste.
Swallow medicines with water
If you have to take medication, do so with a glass of water and not with fruit juice. Citrus juices and apple juice in particular affect the absorption of certain medicines due to the presence of the substance naringin. This applies to certain medicines against cancer and high blood pressure and to antibiotics. Sometimes only half of the active ingredient is absorbed by the juice.
If in doubt about how to take your medication, always contact your doctor.
