Banning the scales can be a huge relief. Three reasons not to weigh yourself (anymore).
Day scale
When you're too concerned with the number that appears on the scale, it can be a huge relief to get the scale out the door. This way you can let go of your weight and focus on how you feel. As a test, you could put the scale with a friend for a month.
Disappointed
Sometimes the result is disappointing when you step on the scale. This can lead to disappointment. In the worst case scenario, you immediately throw your New Year's resolutions overboard or you give in to an emotional binge. A shame, because it's a shame you know, you were probably doing a good job. Your weight doesn't say everything.
More than the scales
More important indicators for losing weight or eating healthy are your own body, the measuring tape and your clothing. Do you suddenly fit into the pants that were just a little too tight? That's a good sign, even if the number on the scale is trying to tell you otherwise.
Do you weigh yourself often?
