The hay fever season is much later this year than in other years. Experts expect it to start in June.
Off pollen counts of the Leiden University Medical Center and the Elkerliek Hospital in Helmond, it appears that there is hardly any pollen in the air float. The reason for this is the long cold winter and the wet, cold month of May. As a result, the hay fever season has been delayed by more than three weeks.
Usually people with hay fever often suffer from complaints at the beginning of the month of May † It is therefore expected that they will only start to receive possible complaints in June.
