Today the exhibition of Stichting Borstbeeld is located on the museum square in Amsterdam. The traveling open-air exhibition shows photos by twelve top Dutch photographers. They photographed women who had to undergo breast reconstruction because of breast cancer.
The assignment for the photographers (including Cornelie Tollens, Marcel van der Vlugt, Paul Blanca, Leo Hol and Wendelien Daan) was to photograph the women powerful and intriguing. to show that despite, and also because of, their surgery, these women still feel feminine.
The original photos will be auctioned at the end of October at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. The proceeds will benefit the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Cancer Research Fund †
