In Puy-de-Dôme, a retired farmer has developed a natural disinfectant to kill the coronavirus. Originally, it was a way to disinfect your own farm, but it could be very effective in the fight against the current pandemic. What if this product replaced the current hydroalcoholic gel?
A "natural and ecological disinfectant" , here is how Roland Garde presented his innovation in an article in the magazine La Montagne July 27, 2020. It must be said that the former farmer from Condat-en-Combraille (Puy-de-Dôme) has been popular for a few weeks. Indeed, its disinfectant enjoys a certain popularity in the area.
It is about an autonomous disinfection machine that produces a natural and non-polluting biocidal liquid. This mixture contains water and salt tabletstreated by an electrolysis system . Bearing the name of Aqua-Combrailles, the disinfectant incorporates neutral anolyte, a highly biocidal, sporicidal, fungicidal and germicidal product. According to the pensioner, the product sprays on the hands and any other surface . On the other hand, there would be no need to scrub.
Roland Garde thought about developing such a product in 2018. Its objective was to improve the disinfection of facilities of the family farm. Then, other farmers showed their interest in this economical, easy-to-use and non-polluting product. With the current health crisis, orders are now pouring in from all over the region, especially since the deconfinement. As France Info explains, the product eradicates the coronavirus in just thirty seconds according to analyses. Thus, nursing homes, nursing homes, nurses' offices, schools and even cinemas and police stations have already ordered the disinfectant in question.
This solution could possibly replace hydroalcoholic gel , widely used today. On the other hand, you should know that due to its high alcohol content, this gel can weaken the protective film of our skin by destroying all bacteria, whether good or bad. In the near future, Roland Garde's disinfectant may be released on a larger scale. This product could even easily integrate with current decontamination robots and drones.
Remember, however, that washing and disinfecting hands and different surfaces is one of the most effective barrier gestures to limit the spread of the coronavirus. The latter is not ready to leave and continues to progress. The current global toll of the pandemic is 26 million cases for more than 860,000 deaths.
