Do you ever swallow the pill without a break? You may still have breakthrough bleeding despite swallowing.
That can happen. Breakthrough bleeding is bleeding between your stop weeks. When you are on the pill, less endometrium is built up. The mucous membrane can become so thin that it is easier for blood to pass through. You can compare it with a bruise:with a thin skin the blood vessels are closer under the skin and you get a bruise more quickly. It works the same with endometrium:if it is very thin, the blood vessels are closer to the surface and allow blood to pass more quickly.
