Starting a vegetable garden? These vegetables are the easiest to grow

Now that the weather is finally nice, we are going to garden en masse. Do you want to start a vegetable garden? These vegetables are also very suitable for beginners.

Leaf vegetables

Because leafy vegetables, such as lettuce and endive, have shallow roots, the soil does not have to be very fertile. They do need a lot of sun and regular water. You can enjoy your home-grown vegetables very quickly, because kale and lettuce are ready to harvest after thirty days.

Cucumber

All cucumbers need is moist and fertile soil and enough sunlight. Success guaranteed. The best time to grow cucumbers is in the summer. Be careful not to water the plants too much.

Radishes

There are two ways to grow radishes:indoors in a growing container or outdoors on the ground. And the best part is:a few weeks later you can already harvest them. The best time to grow radishes is in the spring or late August.

Zucchini

Courgettes do well in a sunny spot in moist, fertile soil. Just like the cucumber, this vegetable is also very suitable for beginners. They do need a lot of space:about one square meter per plant.

Herbs

Be careful where you put the herbs. Some herbs like direct sunlight. Others, such as parsley and chives, prefer some shade. Do you want to grow mint? Then give the plant its own pot. Otherwise you can forget about those other herbs.
