Always bonje at the office about the blaring air conditioning or about open windows in the middle of winter?
Research shows that women's brains work more efficiently at higher temperatures.
Several tests were done at temperatures between 16 and 57 degrees. Women scored better in the math and language components when it got warmer. Men scored better at lower temperatures.
The research concludes that the temperature in the office can often be raised slightly. The improvement in women at a warm temperature turned out to be greater than the decrease in performance in men. With a temperature increase of one degree Celsius, women answer 1.75 percent more math questions correctly. In men there was a decrease of 0.6 percent.
