There is no such thing as the perfect moment, so the perfect moment to start is now.
Whether it's changing your habits, launching a project or writing a book. The question is why don't you start now. You probably have good reasons for that. Next year you will have more time, more experience and/or more money. But you will probably have a lot of new excuses by then.
There are always reasons not to do something, but the more time you spend making excuses and doomed about what could go wrong, the less time you have to take action. It's easy to keep putting things off. It feels safe in your comfort zone and it is quite difficult to tear yourself away from that safe feeling you have when everything around you is familiar.
Take the first step
The first step is the hardest. Don't procrastinate because you don't know where to start. Start today with the resources you have now. It doesn't all have to go perfectly right away, every step you take is one closer to your goal.
The fear you feel when you change the familiar will probably not go away, but you will learn to deal with it better and better.
If you are waiting for a sign, this is it.
