Knowing your skin type is essential. This allows us to choose the products that suit us best, indirectly, we save money, since we buy more creams and useless treatments that will end their sad life abandoned in the bottom of a drawer!
1. Dry skin
2. oily
3. normal to mixed,
4. and sensitive.
The formulas of the care used differ completely according to the reactions of our epidermis. For example, if we favor hydration for dry skin, we will rather act on the regulation and matification of oily skin.
For this I am going to ask you toremove your make-up completely and not to moisturize your face right away . After several minutes your skin will begin to react.
1 . If it pulls with a feeling of discomfort, or even peels in some places, you have dry skin!
It is a very fine skin which has a constant need for hydration to find a balance. If you neglect it, it will age faster and you will see lines and wrinkles appear sooner than average.
Morning and evening, prefer the formula cleansing milk + tonic lotion or a micellar lotion. Once a week, a scrub to remove dead skin and a mask to moisturize will be your best assets.
2. If it tends to get greasy and shiny very quickly, you have oily skin .
Prone to imperfections, it must be moisturized slightly by banishing creams that are too rich to avoid the "buttery" effect due to excessive sebum production.
For cleansing, alternate the morning with a micellar lotion and the evening with cleansing with water. Remember to apply a purifying clay mask every week, and to exfoliate 2 to 3 times a month to unclog the pores on your face responsible for blackheads and pimples.
3 . If you have skin that is tight in places (cheeks) and greasy in others (forehead, nose, chin T-zone), welcome to the world of the normal to combination skin!
For these, you have to choose specific creams and treatments for normal to combination skin. They combine the two complementary actions. You can easily find many creams and fluids to mattify the famous T-zone, while moisturizing the cheeks and other dry parts.
A purifying and regulating mask per week will do you the greatest good.
4 . Your skin stings, burns and/or reddens, congratulations, you have sensitive skin.
Less common, this type of skin requires special attention. It has a constant need for hydration while avoiding too rich textures. Otherwise the epidermis reacts immediately by producing sebum or reddening.
Not easy to find products for sensitive skin, even if more and more laboratories are looking into the question, there are still few references, especially in supermarkets. Choose very light formulas that penetrate the epidermis well, such as serums.
For cleaning, prefer micellar lotions or very gentle cleansing milks accompanied by a refreshing lotion (rose or cornflower are ideal). In general, avoid scrubs that are too aggressive and deep cleanings which will only make the problem worse. Instead, prefer soft masks to be rinsed off with lukewarm water.
Once this experience is over, remember to apply the cream that suits you. Don't forget that whatever your skin type, you must always moisturize it!
Now that we know how to recognize our skin type, we choose our products better. That way, we are no longer mistaken and we are targeting really effective products. No more accumulation of useless tubes and pots. Our face is radiant, our budget less tight.
So what type of skin do you have? Do not hesitate to ask me questions in the comments if you are still hesitating.
