- 1 carrot
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- thyme
1. Wash the carrot without peeling it using baking soda.
2. Cut it into slices.
3. Put the pieces in a bowl.
4. Cover them with a layer of honey.
5. Put 1 or 2 sprig(s) of thyme.
6. Mix.
7. Cover the bowl with cling film.
8. Leave to marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
9. The next day, strain the carrot syrup.
10. Pour the syrup into a closed bottle.
There you go, your homemade cough syrup is ready :-)
It's simple to make and inexpensive, isn't it?
Now it only remains to take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day of your remedy until cured.
Carrot syrup can be kept for 7 days in the fridge.
Thyme is an excellent antiseptic. The honey soothes the throat and the carrot provides beta-carotenes that will help you feel much better very quickly.
