An American company has developed an accessory that is rather confusing at first glance. It is a combination intended to bring together two incompatible notions:nightlife and the Covid-19 epidemic.
Might as well face the facts, the creators of the Production Club company were inspired by the cyberpunk genre. As shown in the video visible at the end of the article, the Micrashell suit seems straight out of a science fiction film dystopian! However, this suit is not just a disguise but a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Adapted to nightlife, the Micrashell suit allows you to dance, drink and vape while protecting yourself from Covid-19. For Production Club, it is about offering a way to allow a restart of night activities. Specializing in the organization of festivals, fairs and other concerts, this company has indeed seen its projects reduced to nothing by the current pandemic.
What the suit offers comes close to abandoning social distancing and barrier gestures. Indeed, the creators have taken it seriously, with the presence of a soft plastic helmet and the use of a fabric that is impossible to tear. Let's also mention the presence of a filtration system touted as offering protection equivalent to N95 (FFP2) masks.
The helmet is ventilated and allows drinking and vaping without having to remove it. In addition, the rest of the body is protected, including the arms and hands. This helps to limit contact with potentially infected surfaces . The equipment also incorporates speakers and a pocket at the level of the forearm in order to slip a smartphone there. This can be connected to a camera at shoulder level, allowing snapshots to be taken. Furthermore lined with LEDs, the suit also offers to change their color depending on the mood.
The Production Club suit is still only a prototype. In addition, the health authorities have not yet spoken about it and there is no indication that the device will be certified. Let's also mention the fact that the company has not yet mentioned any sale price. Indeed, the creators continue to test materials and other devices in order to reduce the manufacturing cost without reducing its efficiency.
