An investment fund has published a study designating Spain as the least safe country in Europe regarding Covid-19. Italy, meanwhile, took first place in the world for the country with the highest risk.
With a toll of around 700,000 cases and almost 35,000 deaths , the United States is by far the country most affected by Covid-19. However, a study published on April 12, 2020 by the investment fund Deep Knowledge Group placed Spain last in the ranking of the most secure countries in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic. It must be said that with more than 190,000 cases for approximately 20,000 deaths , Spain occupies the top three of the most impacted countries.
Out of 33 countries, Italy comes second to last and the ranking of countries such as the United Kingdom (30th), France (26th) or Sweden (24th ) is not very good. The safest country in Europe is, unsurprisingly, Germany, whose rapid reaction to the epidemic is well known. Indeed, this country has conducted many tests and detected patients very early. Germany is followed by Switzerland and Austria.
Recall in passing that this study by the Deep Knowledge Group is based on several sources of information . These are official data from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Worldometers platform as well as the now famous dashboard from Johns Hopkins University (USA).
The ranking of the most secure countries has been declined at the global level. According to the study, the safest country in the world in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic is Israel. Germany and South Korea complete the top three. In addition, China curiously occupies 5th place as the country is currently facing new cases after a resumption of activity. Its neighbor Taiwan, whose quality of prevention has been shunned by the WHO, occupies the 7th position.
Deep Knowledge Group has also compiled a global ranking of countries where the risk of Covid-19 is highest. Thus, Italy comes first ahead of the United States and the United Kingdom. As for Spain and France, these two countries are respectively in 4th and 5th position.
In the study, other rankings are available, including the highest case processing efficiency. The leading trio is made up of Germany, China and South Korea . Let us also mention a Top 15 of governments regarding their mobilization in the management of the crisis. The first three governments are those of Germany, the United States and Japan. The French government is ranked in 6th place.
