Research shows that your blood pressure can temporarily rise when you sit cross-legged. In addition, you can pinch a nerve in the pose, causing your leg or foot to start sleeping. It doesn't hurt to sit with your legs crossed every now and then, but it's better to put your feet neatly next to each other.
