We like to live in a clean house, but your house can also be too clean. Babies who live in a house that is too clean would be more vulnerable to allergies later on.
Surprising outcome
The researchers were somewhat surprised at the outcome. Rather, they expected the opposite. However, there is an explanation for the findings:because children are exposed to dust and animal hair and dander, their body gets the chance to protect itself against an allergy.
No excuse
Several factors play a role in the development of allergies. The outcome of the research is therefore no excuse to let your house get dusty. It is not a reason to get a dog or cat when a baby is born, but it is certainly no reason to get rid of the dog or cat.
