Q:I've always had a lot of dandruff, but for some time now it seemed to spread to my forehead. That also got flaky. The GP thinks about psoriasis and has referred me to a dermatologist. However, it will be a while before I can get there. Do I have to worry? K.S., GHENT
Answer from dermatologist Jacqueline Vink:'No, you don't have to worry. It could indeed be psoriasis or a form of eczema, namely seborrheic. Both are treatable with shampoos and ointments or lotions containing corticosteroids. Psoriasis is generally a bit more persistent, but nowadays there are many ways to manage this in the right direction. It is annoying that healing is often very difficult.'
