Sometimes hair removal is a real headache. Which one to choose, so that it is effective and, above all, economical? Here are my 4 tips for gentle hair removal... if I may say so!
The choice of hair removal method depends on several factors. There are the first depilations, the frequent depilations, the comfort of each, etc.
Let's take a look at some very useful tips to avoid fees from the beautician's salon!
Your teenager wants to start waxing... Well, the surprise of the request, after a few emotions and the fateful "yes", remains to choose the best method for her. The two rules of thumb, not to traumatize her with pain and not to regrow her thicker and more numerous hairs, tell you this:
Advantages:
- This method will be comfortable, well tolerated by his young skin and will therefore be ideal throughout his adolescence.
- If this mode of hair removal suits her, she can keep it later as her preferred means of hair removal.
Disadvantage:
- It is not necessarily the most economical. But your daughter may not have to wax in winter... Unless she goes to the swimming pool!
An epilator, we can think that it is quite expensive to buy. However, there are epilators at all prices . Several possible methods, including Satin-Ice epilators (Amazon link €28.80) which help to cool the skin so that the tingling of epilation is less felt.
I bought an epilator of this type in 1998 and I still use it! Yet I wax my legs about every 10 days.
Advantages :
- It pulls out the hair in depth, and slows down regrowth.
- In addition, over the years, they will grow much less.
Disadvantages:
- It often pulls out the hair by drying the skin a little (good hydration is therefore essential after waxing).
- It consumes electricity!
Regulars of salons know it well, since it is the queen method used by beauticians.
Those found on the market can be hot, warm or cold, depending on the comfort you want.
Advantages:
- It avoids too rapid regrowth, as it tears the hair out at the root.
- If you prefer this method to that of the epilator:it can be manufactured very easily. The recipe is quite simple, and based on common and inexpensive ingredients:sugar, water, lemon, honey.
Disadvantages:
- It's a bit painful . I
- You have to master the gesture, it's not easy the first time.
Of course, perhaps the solution we dream of is permanent hair removal. We will have the opportunity to return to this subject at greater length in a future article. As an indication, the prices are around €1000 for the whole body, or €500 for a legs-bikini-armpits package.
In any case, I then remember to moisturize my skin to prevent it from drying out, and to possibly calm the tightness I feel.
If my hair grows back really quickly, I can make myself a treatment to apply, based on 100 ml of tiger nut vegetable oil and 35 drops of rose essential oil. This treatment costs me around €15.
What is your favorite hair removal method? Of course, I await your comments on this subject!
