I'm a big fan of hygiene! When it comes to oral hygiene, for example, I am intractable!
I often buy toothbrushes, and you can find really cheap ones. This gave me an idea:the toothbrush has become my essential beauty utensil!
In fact, a toothbrush can be used for many things, and replace specific accessories that are necessarily more expensive. I'll give you some examples.
I use a toothbrush to exfoliate and exfoliate . As I always choose a soft or medium toothbrush, there is no risk of damaging my skin.
For combination skin orfat , exfoliating the T zone (forehead, nose, chin) is essential. Personally, I apply it everywhere, in priority on the wings of the nose, and gently, then I rinse with hot water before doing my usual care. On the other hand, I avoid doing it if my skin is too red or reactive, more sensitive than usual.
I also erase dead skin from my lips with a toothbrush on which I put a little cocoa or shea butter. I only erase a few seconds , very gently, before passing a tissue and applying makeup to my lips as normal.
I learned to pluck my eyebrows, I've already told you about it. At the end of my session I brush them . I still use a toothbrush. For a lasting effect, I can add a little hairspray or gel on the brush. I brush upwards, then outwards, following the shape of my eyebrows well.
I use a toothbrush in several cases :
- When my hair lacks volume , I can act here and there as I please, in the precise places where it is "raplapla". Less big than my hairbrush, the toothbrush is more precise.
- Cobs ? Rebel strands ? I put a little gel on a toothbrush, which I then brush from root to tip.
- coloring retouching :between two appointments at the hairdresser, I sometimes buy a root kit. I apply the dye with the brush provided, but I polish the result with a toothbrush, in order to standardize between all the hair.
There, I rather use a hard toothbrush, there is always one available in the reserve of darling (yes, yes! I buy him all the time!).
Hot water and antibacterial soap on the brush, nothing better to eliminate all bacteria, even under the nails. And if I want to make them beautiful and shiny, I then apply a softening and nourishing vegetable oil on them (Amazon link 4 € 95 organic sweet almond oil).
Well, I also use toothbrushes for cleaning and cleaning the cages of our various animals, but that's another story!
I never invest in a nail brush. It would cost me about €3 . As I buy my toothbrushes in batches, each one costs me less than €1.
For the eyebrow brush I save about the same, or even a little more. As for the scrubs, if I replace half the time a soft scrub sold in stores or on the Internet, by this technique, it is still €3 per jar of product saved.
In summary:my scrub costs me €18 a year instead of €36 + €1 nail brush instead of €3 + €1 eyebrow brush instead of €3 =€22 savings.
And here, I'm only talking about my beauty!!
And you, do you sometimes use another accessory in a roundabout way, for your beauty treatments? Let me know in your comments...
