Previously, I had my favorite gel brands that I have always loved and used.

But lately, I noticed that with each use I had eczema attacks on my hands...

Regular! While doing research, I realized that these gels sold in the supermarket contain a lot of toxic products. Yuck!

So I tried a lot of natural recipes! But none worked well for me.

The flaxseed hair gel was sticking to my hair and after a week it was worse than plaster!

I've also tried shea butter, coconut oil, a combination of the two, aloe vera, glycerin...I've probably tried everything!

I had almost given up on finding one that works. Until I stumbled across this natural recipe.

She only uses gelatin and water . What could be better than these 2 very simple ingredients?

Why do I love this homemade gel?

Inexpensive and Easy to Make! Homemade Hair Gel Recipe.

It's not expensive to make. It only costs a few cents per jar. There are 96 teaspoons of product in this box of gelatin, and we only use 1 per jar. Your investment for this box of gelatin is therefore profitable!

It smells good. The essential oils I use are lavender and peppermint, or orange and rosemary. I feel it all day and it's great.

It's easy to do.

It is completely natural and safe for health.

Funny thing: my mother told me that synchronized swimmers in the fifties used gelatin to keep their hairstyles in place! Not bad right?

A gel with 3 hold levels

Normally my hair needs a lot of styling cream because it is dry and unruly (very thick, dense and very frizzy).

When I first made my gel, I was surprised by its light structure which held well on my hair. I found medium strength to be enough for me.

And for my hair, it lasted for several days.
The strong hold is really too strong and a little cardboardy for my taste.

I find mine a bit sticky when drying, but flexible when fully dry.

And there you have it, you have made your natural gel with only 2 ingredients :-)

Easy, isn't it? It's still better than putting toxic products in your hair, isn't it?

You can keep this homemade gel in the fridge for 2 weeks easily. For my part, I find that it is easier to use with a spray bottle otherwise it gets everywhere.
