The Homemade Tiger Balm Recipe Finally Revealed!

The Homemade Tiger Balm Recipe Finally Revealed!

Some time ago I went to see my acupuncturist. She is awesome !

And she gave me a white tiger balm for my legs and my neck.

I had never used one before, but loved it! That's awesome stuff.

Both refreshing and enjoyable.

What was less nice was its composition.

The basis of this product is petroleum jelly.

All kinds of essential oils …and petroleum jelly. Yuck!

As soon as I got home, I started researching the ingredients that go into Tiger Balm:

Essential oils of cajeput, menthol, camphor, mint, clove and cassia (only in its red version).

I couldn't resist and ordered the ingredients. As soon as they arrived, I made my own natural tiger balm without petroleum jelly.

And wow!!! My nostrils were clear (and my muscles relaxed, of course!). Here is my homemade recipe finally unveiled :

Ingredients

The Homemade Tiger Balm Recipe Finally Revealed!

- 5 grams of camphor essential oil (about 200 drops or a teaspoon + 40 drops).

- 6 grams of cajeput essential oil (about 240 drops or 1.5 teaspoons).

- 4 grams of menthol essential oil (about 160 drops or 1 teaspoon).

- 1 gram of clove essential oil (about 40 drops).

- 8 grams of mint essential oil (about 320 drops or 2 teaspoons)

- 1 gram of vitamin E.

- 10 grams of beeswax.

- 10 grams of coconut butter.

- 3 grams of emu oil.

- 3 grams of andiroba oil.

How to

1. Combine the oils and beeswax in a small saucepan.

2. Heat over low heat until mixture is melted.

3. While the mixture is heating, weigh the oils in a container that does not let the oils pass.

Carrier oils (beeswax, in particular) should be barely melted. The mixture should not be too hot.

4. Add the essential oils.

5. Mix.

6. Let the impurities settle at the bottom of a small container.

7. Leave to cool.
