5 products you should always have in stock

With healthy products within reach, it will be easier to put a healthy meal on the table. That does not mean that you can only cook with fresh products. The following products are useful to have in stock.

Products that make your meal filling
Whole wheat pasta, lentils, quinoa, oatmeal. With this you can turn every breakfast and every meal salad into a filling meal.

Vegetables
Frozen or canned vegetables are not always unhealthier, sometimes they are even healthier, because they are harvested at just the right time. Check the label to see if no sugar has been added.

Herbs
Some dishes call for fresh herbs, but often dried herbs work just as well. A few recommendations:basil, cayenne pepper, oregano, cinnamon, rosemary and turmeric.

Healthy oils
Always handy to have a bottle of your favorite oil at home. Coconut oil for frying, extra virgin olive oil as a base for a dressing.

Empty containers
Have you made a fresh soup or pasta sauce? Make one or more extra portions and freeze them. This way, when you're in a hurry, you still have a fresh meal.
