Keeping your attention away from your phone or tablet isn't always easy. Because we can be so absorbed in it, we do not notice that we sometimes sit or lie in unnatural positions.
A Florido chiropractor first coined the term texting neck, straining the head, neck and shoulders from looking down at a screen.
Focus
When you're so engrossed in your screen, you don't realize that you're looking down too much, sticking your neck out, arching your back, or adopting some other unnatural position. These tensions in your body can lead to unpleasant complaints.
At eye level
When using a phone or tablet, make sure to keep the device at eye level. Take regular breaks and exercise enough. A strong and flexible back and neck also help to reduce the pressure on your neck.
