Demand for online help grew by more than 40 percent last year, after rising more than 50 percent the year before. People mainly seek help via the internet because of the anonymity † People with mental, social or societal problems do not always dare to seek help face to face, because they are ashamed or afraid that their environment will find out.
In order to reach these people, various organizations have set up anonymous online help . in recent years † This is to prevent people from walking around with their problems for too long.

The figures from the past year show that the people seeking help are very satisfied with the help provided via chat † The interviews were assessed with an average score of 8.1. The conversations are mainly about violence, psychological problems, relationship problems, love and sexuality † It is mainly women who seek help online.
